On St. Patrick’s Day, House of Blues was the site for the NACE Foundation’s highly anticipated Scholarship Awards Ceremony and Blues Bash: Gone Green event. The Scholarship Awards Ceremony, sponsored by BP, recognized 37 outstanding students with 51 scholarships – the most ever awarded by the NACE Foundation in a single year. Recipients were chosen by selection committees based on their academic excellence, work experience, professional activities, and commitment to the corrosion industry.
The NACE Foundation also distributed travel assistance totaling more than $36,000 to 137 students attending CORROSION 2015. The NACE Foundation, now in its eleventh year of awarding scholarships, is able to recognize these deserving students each year thanks to individual and corporate charitable donations, as well as the generous financial support of NACE sections and areas.
